About Andrew Sewell ITCP
Andrew began his software development professional career in 1986. Since then he
has worked internationally in IT, continuing to pursue greater industry experience
and education. He founded knowledge.update Ltd. in 1996, as a commercial vehicle
for his information systems development work.
Through the 2000s Andrew spent much of his working day teaching in one of New Zealand's
most successful information technology degrees. In 2002 he won Otago Polytechnic's
Excellence in Teaching Award. He followed that in 2003 by winning the Microsoft/APNZ
Technology in Education Award for his work developing
IT203Web.
At the end of the decade he returned full-time to industry.
In 2009, Andrew was in the first group of IT professionals to be certified as
ITCP
by the NZ Computer Society. With this, the IT professional body recognises his education,
experience and ethics and certifies that he performs to the highest level of professionalism.
